Xbox Game Pass is a great service to add to your Xbox Live subscription. There are a ton of games to play, and new titles are added so frequently, that we thought it would be a good idea to put together of list of the best games to play on Xbox Game Pass. The games in this list were picked based on their popularity with the console’s daily users, while also taking into consideration the newer titles added to the Xbox Games Pass recently.
No matter if you enjoy fighting space aliens, fighting hordes of demons, are flying over beautiful landscapes, we’re sure our list will have a little something for you.
Assassins Creed Origins
Our first game on this list is a newer addition to Xbox Game Pass. Assassin’s Creed Origins has a revenge based plot set in ancient egypt. It’s story, and fun gameplay is guaranteed to keep players eager to finish the game. The way this game offers players a chance at exploring the origins of the well-established Assassins Creed legacy with its classic open world gameplay, makes this title a treat to fans of the Assassin’s Creed series.
Undisputedly the best roguelike game on the platform, Hades has been deemed a modern classic. The title has seen immense success with over 1 million copies sold worldwide. On top of its performance commercially, Hades has received critical acclaim in the form of winning the Hugo Award and Nebula Award for its writing.
Hades is a hack and slash crawler that will you have fighting through an ever-changing underworld. Along the way you’ll forge new relationships and power ups while defeating the souls of the dead.
Earth has been invaded by Hell’s armies, and the world looks to you to become the Slayer and free them from their Demonic prison. Doom Eternal is a single player game, that will have you hooked after it’s introduction. You’ll shoot waves and waves of Demon’s in a beautifully crafted environment. Gain new weapons, improve existing ones, and send those Demon’s back to hell and have a blast doing it.
Lost in Random
Lost In Random, is a project by Zoink Studios and it features combat and adventure starring two sisters who get separated by a cursed dye. You can expect this to be a treat for your creative mind with its peculiar characters and wonderfully dark animation. Lost In Random is a game I’ve had my eye on for quite some time that had me hooked with it’s story, and visual style. Now that it’s on Xbox Game Pass I’ll have all the more reason to check this one out, and I encourage you do to the same.
Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy
Explore the galaxy with this chaotically fun Marvel Family. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is a delightful action and adventure game. Marvel is no stranger to great stories, and interesting characters, and there is no shortage of that with this game. This is one that is sure to have you hooked, and missing all of your important appointments in no time. I personally loved the banter between the Guardians, and they are all true to their comic and MCU origins. Be prepared to explore the galaxy, and get in a good laugh while playing this game.
The Mass Effect Series
With recent access of the full Mass Effect Trilogy, this is the time for Xbox Game Pass subscribers to get into the series if you haven’t already. All three games have been remastered to enhance the experience. Mass Effect is known for it’s great gameplay and storytelling so if you’ve never played this series, there is no better time to jump in.
Crusader Kings 3
This one for the strategy lovers, Crusader Kings III is all about navigating the politics and challenges of establishing your own kingdom. The gameplay offers role play as a noble of royal blood where you’ll fight to claim lands, and titles in a ridiculously accurate map of the Middle Ages. If you’re a fan of the medieval era, you will be amiss if you pass up the chance of playing this game.
Released in December 2021, Halo Infinite is the first ever open-world Halo Game. You’ll play as Master Chief as you explore the Halo Ring, and defeat the Banished. It’s a pretty straight forward story, that is filled with heart and lots of action and combat. You’ll also have access to the Multiplayer, and in Halo Infinite the developers have found a way to blend both Halo’s new and old style of combat into something that many players will enjoy.
Microsoft Flight Simulator
Microsoft Flight Similar is as close as you can get to flying an actual airplane from the comfort of your sofa. With this game, you can expect a realistic simulation of manning a wide variety of aircrafts ranging from two-seaters to commercial jets. The scenery is gorgeous, and if you’ve never played a simulator I recommend giving this one a chance, I promise you will enjoy it.
A Way Out
A Way Out is a 2 player co-op game played either online or using split-screen, and it is an exciting prison break adventure. The developers, Hazelight Studios, have perfectly put together a design that puts players in the roles of two convicts who are given different tasks that help each other’s progress and ultimately lead to their joint escape from prison. Find a friend and work together as the two of you try to earn your freedom.
