Nintendo has announced a Splatoon 3-inspired Nintendo Switch – OLED model, and it will be available at select retailers on August 26, 2022! At first glance, this seems like very exciting news for Nintendo fans!
Collectible consoles like these are great for avid collectors or they can provide a great opportunity to give a unique gift to someone you know that is a fan of the Splatoon franchise. In this article, I will be sharing the information we have about the console, its design, controller, and price. Release Date and Pricing
Splatoon 3 is set to release on September 9, 2022, but you can get your hands on this new Nintendo Switch console before the game releases. Due to the console releasing earlier than the game, the game is not included. If you are a fan of the first two Splatoon games then you may still enjoy this console. Its unique splatter paint design and painted Joy-Cons have all been done extremely well and may make the perfect addition to your gaming setup.
The Splatoon 3 Nintendo Switch – OLED model will retail for $359.99, and comes with a decorative dock, and joy-con. As far as specs are concerned, this console is still your typical Nintendo Switch OLED console. Nintendo’s OLED Switch model includes a 7-inch OLED screen, wired LAN port, and 64 GB of internal storage.
We have yet to discuss on this site whether or not the Nintendo Switch OLED – is worth the upgrade, but buying a decorative version of the Switch may make the new purchase worth it for some gamers.
Nintendo Switch Pro Controller
Along with the launch of Splatoon 3 in September, you can get your hands on the Splatoon 3 Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. Retailing at $74.99, the Pro Controller has also been adorned with Splatoon 3 iconography and colors in celebration of the game’s release. If you prefer this type of controller over the Joy Cons then this is a must-buy and can be purchased separately from the console.

Final Thoughts
I always love to see these types of controllers and consoles. I’ve never been an avid collector, but I can appreciate the artistry in the overall design. The Splatoon 3 Nintendo Switch OLED is only $10 more than a normal Switch OLED, so if you are a fan of Splatoon 3, it may be worth the extra ten dollars to have a controller you can’t wait to get home to look at.
