A good anime always gives us an amazing cast of memorable characters. However, that doesn’t mean we necessarily like all of these characters. Sometimes, they are memorable because of how much we actually hate them.
Today, we are going to take a look at some of the characters that we love to hate. These characters have the most annoying personalities and just keep doing the most absurd things.

Minoru Mineta (My Hero Academia)
Minoru is a hero who is training to save the lives of innocent people, but his personality is just straight-up annoying. This guy is a huge pervert who just wants to peep at girls, and his powers are completely useless in battle. Minoru definitely gets on our nerves whenever he gets screen-time. The fact that he looks like a little baby in a diaper makes him even more irritating.
Misa Amane (Death Note)
Misa is drop-dead gorgeous, but we still hate her because of her dumb personality. She is madly in love with Light Yagami, who is just using her to achieve his own goals. Misa also acts extremely dumb in every situation and gets used as a pawn by other people. She is one of the strongest characters in Death Note, but her personality makes her quite unlikeable.
Karin Uzumaki (Naruto Shippuden)
Karin is just straight-up infuriating as her only goal in life is to seduce Sasuke. She has a very arrogant and selfish personality, but she starts to become over-friendly whenever Sasuke is around. I’m glad that Sasuke never shows her any love in return! Considering the fact that she is an Uzumaki, as a viewer I expected more from Karin.
Kirito (Sword Art Online)
Kirito never does anything wrong and has a pretty decent personality, but the whole anime community still hates him. This is because Kirito is an extremely generic protagonist who is just extremely overpowered. Despite his generic personality, this guy is still a total chick-magnet.
MR. Satan (Dragon Ball Z)
Mr. Satan is the most unlikeable character from the Dragon Ball Z series. Whilst he is not really bad at heart, the fact that he lies to his fans just to become famous is extremely annoying. Whenever our heroes defeat one of the bad guys, MR. Satan jumps out at the last second and takes all of the credit. At least his daughter is an extremely nice person in comparison!
Kyubey (Madoka Magica)
Kyubey might look like a cute stuffed animal, but don’t let looks deceive you. This creature is extremely manipulative and tells innocent girls that they can have whatever they want, but in return, they must become magical girls and fight witches. Whilst that may seem like a pretty fun job on paper, Kyubey leaves out all of the dreadful details when speaking to the girls.
Nina Einstein (Code Geass)
Nina Einstein totally deserves all the hate that she gets! Nina falls in love with her princess just because she showed her some kindness, but once the princess dies, she gets so mad that she takes hundreds of innocent lives in revenge. Oh, and she is also universally hated because of that one table scene.
Makoto Itou (School Days)
This playboy can never live a happy life with any girl! School Days is an anime that shows how Makoto keeps cheating on both of his girlfriends, and in the end, he gets what he totally deserves!
Shou Tucker (Fullmetal Alchemist)
Shou Tucker is one of the most hated characters in the anime world because of his twisted personality. First, he killed his wife and turned her into an animal-like creature, and then some years later, he did the same thing to his own daughter.
Malty S Malromarc (Rising of the Shield Hero)
The number 1 spot on this list definitely belongs to Malty. She is the worst princess ever seen on screen and is extremely selfish. She puts a false sexual assault accusation on our boy Naofumi purely because he was the shield hero, and then later in the show, Malty tries to kill her own sister. She is certainly a character that all of us can mutually hate!
