Techland announced today that the Nintendo Switch™ version of Dying Light 2 will be delayed and will be briefly talking about the reasons for the delay mentioned in a recent press release. Dying Light 2 is still expected to release on February 4, 2022, for all other platforms and we do plan on reviewing this title for you all here on our site, and YouTube channel.
From the press release, the reason for the delay is due to concerns over the quality of the game. I applaud video game studios that are able to recognize this and take action to ensure they deliver a quality product to the consumer. Techland has taken lessons from the influx of players they have received on the original Dying Light title. The majority of these players are most likely looking to experience the game prior to playing the new title.
Techland has yet to provide a confirmed release date for the Nintendo Switch™ version of Dying Light 2, but for now, the title will be delayed approximately 6 months. We know this may not be news many Nintendo fans want to hear, but this delay will mean we receive the game in a more playable state.
We will do our best to keep you updated on this blog if there are any changes in the game’s release. Feel free to subscribe to our YouTube Channel to watch our review of Dying Light 2 when it releases on all other platforms next month. Now it’s time to hear from our readers.
