The official gameplay trailer for Dying Light 2 Stay Human has been released, and I am excited to share this with you all here in the #nerdgenicnation. Dying Light 2 Stay Human will be available to play on all platforms except the Nintendo Switch. This game releases on February 4th, 2022, and is currently available for pre-order. In this article, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the trailer, and I have included it here for your review.

What is Dying Light?

Dying Light is an open world, survival title set in an apocalyptic world. A virus has spread and turned people into ‘infected’. The remaining survivors have split into many different factions. During the game, you will explore the world, learn more about it, and do your best to stay alive.

One of the things I loved about the first Dying light title was the story. The story really is the driving force behind this game. As you play you begin thinking this is another typical zombie survival game and begin comparing it to titles such as Back 4 Blood, but this game story will have you hooked, especially on the initial playthrough. Dying Light 2 seems to continue expanding the world that was created in the first game but brings with it new factions, and story elements that all have me excited.

The Infected Are Still A Threat

From what I gather from watching the trailer the infected are still a threat, and they should be. With Dying Light’s open world the humans are always the biggest threat you’ll face. This time in this world, our hero seems to be on a search for his sister and as we follow him on this journey we’ll encounter many different groups, which I’m sure will lead to various missions as we work to solve this mystery. As far as what state his sister will be in when we find her, we will just have to play to find out. Dying Light’s story is very unpredictable, and it is a true joy to play through and experience.
