#Marvel #WhatIf
Marvel’s ‘What If…’ episode 3 is here and I am very excited to share my thoughts on this latest episode with you all in our community. For those of you that are not familiar with the series, Marvel’s ‘What If…” series is hosted by Utau the Watcher, and in this series, we see all of the different possibilities in the expansive Marvel multiverse as Utau narrates certain elements. If you’d like more history of Utau the Watcher feel free to check out our video about the comic book history of the character here.
What is What If… Episode 3?
What If episode 3 follows Nick Fury, Hawkeye, and Black Widow as they are attempting to recruit the Avengers. The episode takes place in the MCU just after the events of Iron Man 2. In the episode, we come to learn that the Avengers are being taken out one by one. The death of Thor causes Loki to come to Earth and enact his plan to take over. Nick Fury has to deal with Loki’s potential invasion and find out who’s causing the death of Earth’s mightiest heroes.
How Was It?
Personally, I loved this episode! It feels like somewhat a murder mystery set within the MCU. It is shocking to see the death of our beloved heroes, and as I watched the episode I was trying to think of who is doing this and why. The entire episode has you wondering what’s going on and how Nick Fury will be able to stop it or if he can at all.
I loved Nick Fury in this episode. He is played by Samuel L Jackson and is true to how you’d expect him to be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Nick Fury really holds his own during the entire episode, and this makes me want more of him in this series.
How About The Animation?
The animation is on par with what we have come to expect in the What If series. Now I have heard mixed reviews of the animation, but I love it and haven’t had any issues with it. Please let me know if you feel differently down below in the comments section.
