On July 22, 2021, EA released a brand new trailer for Dead Space, which will be available for Playstation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. Now, this is a remake of the class Dead Space video game, but this remake is supposed to have improvements that are only possible on next-generation hardware. So If you are excited to play this game, it looks like you’ll have to upgrade to one of the newer consoles. What I am most excited to see in the Dead Space remake is the improvements EA will be making throughout. Like many other EA games such as Battlefield or Star Wars Battlefront, Dead Space was created using the Frostbite engine. The Frostbite game engine really delivers on providing players with visually stunning landscapes, and incredibly smooth gameplay.
Along with using the Frostbite engine, EA has promised enhancements to the game’s story, gameplay, audio, and visual fidelity. Exactly what all of these improvements are, we do not know, but we will keep you updated on this title as more information is announced.
No official release date was provided for the Dead Space remake, but we hope it comes out either later this year or sometime in 2022. If you have never played a Dead Space game I would highly recommend playing this one on release day. Dead Space is a survival horror game, so if you have played games such as Resident Evil or Silent Hill, then Dead Space is right up your alley.
